Uganda: Museveni to Flag Off Construction of Kampala Storage Terminal

It will also handle both imported and locally refined products and is intended to serve as a regional distribution hub once related pipeline and refinery projects are completed. In broader context, Uganda has been expanding its petroleum infrastructure alongside development of its crude oil sector, including plans for domestic refining, which officials argue can lower transport-related costs tied to imports.
