Private Schools Outshine Government Schools As Dokolo Releases 2026 PLE Mock Results

Dokolo District has released its 2026 Primary Leaving Examination mock results, showing private schools ahead of government-aided schools in overall performance. The results were announced on Friday, August 28, 2026, at the District Council Hall in a meeting that brought together head teachers and other education stakeholders.

According to the district examination board, 3,582 candidates were registered for the mock exam and 3,486 actually sat. Of those, 3,155 were placed in Division One through Division Four, while 304 were graded Division U. The district also reported strong subject performance overall, with Social Studies posting the highest pass rate, followed by English, Integrated Science and Mathematics.

Among private schools, Dokolo Central Nursery and Primary School led the rankings, followed by St. Mary’s Nursery and Primary School, The Grace, St. Marglex and Anyacoto Primary School. In the government-aided category, Alwitmac Primary School ranked first, followed by Apyennyang, Bardyang and Ilong Primary Schools. Schools including Odeo, Adwoki, Adeknino, Adok and Adwila were identified among the weaker performers, prompting concern about academic gaps.

Education officials said several factors may be affecting outcomes, including weak mathematics performance, incomplete syllabus coverage in some schools, absenteeism and low preparedness among some learners. District leaders and education officers urged teachers and headteachers to improve supervision, strengthen collaboration and use the mock results to prepare for the 2026 PLE.
