Beb Wine Bags 2026 People’s Choice Award

Beb Wine Company Ltd, based in Lira City, has been named the 2026 People’s Quality Choice Award winner for Uganda’s best alcoholic fermented beverage brand, according to Dokolo Post. The company said the recognition is its third straight win, with the award linked to an annual consumer survey conducted by 10 GSI Ltd. Company general manager Jimmy Alex Okello said the accolade will be officially presented at a ceremony set for November 17, 2026, at Imperial Royal Hotel in Kampala.

The paper reported that company officials highlighted Beb Wine’s strong position in Northern Uganda, where sales and marketing manager Biron Moro Otimkica said the brand holds about 80% of the wine market. He also pointed to certification from the Uganda National Bureau of Standards as a factor supporting customer confidence in quality, safety and consistency. Management said the latest win is expected to support growth in sales and production, while the company continues to pursue expansion in other parts of Uganda and into the wider East African market.

Beb Wine’s awards committee chairperson, Sam Brunos Aliga, said consumers selected the brand for its quality, taste and freshness. He noted that the company’s products are already sold beyond Uganda, including in South Sudan, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya and Tanzania. Local officials in Lira also praised the firm for employment creation and tax compliance, with one city finance official urging it to consider another factory in the area.

The report said the company’s factory is in the Railways industrial area of Lira City East Division and that it produces several alcoholic fermented beverages under the slogan “A Taste of Memory.”
